While I've rarely read even AU Human stories, much less anything more fanciful, I have to say that I really enjoyed this one. It was at times sad and frustrating, but overall, it was really sweet. :) Nice Job!

As for people not leaving much feedback here, it appears to be happening in more than just this fandom at AFF. I've been writing for nearly four years now in the Lord of the Rings' fandom, and we've noticed a dramatic dip in reviews posted as well at this site. *sighs* It seems that people would rather lurk than let someone know how much they liked a story. Too bad as that isn't very helpful for the authors who use feedback to gauge interest in plot direction. *sighs*

This was a really nice story. Ever thought about giving it a epiloge? :)

I don't usually like M/M stories as I'm straight female myself. But your was interesting and hot at times. I loved the angst. At first idea of Spike being a Fairy was really strange. But it turned out fun. Thanks!

I am enjoying your story very much. It is interesting and a different take on things. I wasn't sure what to expect from the summary and especially the title (which maybe needs some rethinking) but I am pleasantly surprised. Can't wait for the end. As for the number of reviews, well they are obviously way out of proportion to your hits. What is more important - that only seven people read it but 100% of them comment on it or that 252 people read it and only a few comment on it? If you are not getting enough feedback to help you improve your story or work on some points, try showing it to other writers that you know or friends and/or family whose opinions you trust.
Critcally speaking, your narrative structure was good and your dialogue was natural and flowed well with the story. I noted only one obvious typo (can't remember exactly what right now, bnut it was the transposition of some letters). You could do more with description of place and setting, this serves to help ground a story.

I hop the above notes help. Regardless, I wish you good luck with your writing. And let's get that last chapter flowing!

Oh my gosh!! I LOVE this story soo much! This is so adorable, the way that it started with both of them when they were younger. I feel bad for Xander that he had to go through living with an abusive family pretty much by himself since Spike left. Hopefully, Xander can learn to forgive Spike and to trust that he won't leave again. Please post a lot more! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Aw, this is so sweet, I love it! Makes me all mushy inside. But yeah, you should usually beg for the reviews here. Don't get too many of them here. But I love this story and I want more of it. I demand more!
