This is such a great fic. I thought the first one was a bit too melodramatic and tried a bit too hard, but that was when I thought it was just a stand alone. Now with this sequel it's balanced out a bit but I still like this one better. It's written wonderfully and the depth of emotion in it is amazing. The writing style is intense and the ponderous "insight" is great. Your angsty characterization of Spike kicks real ass.
I can't wait for the next part. Of course I hope that it'll come together as a happier one but on the other hand, I really enjoy you writing like this...
