Anyway, after reading some of the other reviews, I just want to say I understand why you made Spike be engaged to Fred. Thing about relationships is, its not all fluffy and happy or forever. Shit happens. When something that monumental happened, its hard to handle, especially for someone like Spike who acts like a tough cookie but is really soft and gooey on the inside. They're both too fragile to dare to step out of a certain comfort zone. In some stages of our lives, we would have been through past relationships that haunts us even after years, because it hurt too much to continue, yet sometimes it feels like it hurts so good. Some of us want it back and did, some of us don't. It only makes the love sweeter (well unless you decide to make it non-Spuffy in the end, THEN I'll take back this review lol) when they get back eventually.

My gosh! Spike got engaged to Fred! I'm glad that he found a little peace, tho the romantic in me believes in passion and fire, even if it all burns to nothing in the end. A little peace and happiness, and heck, he went to love Fred (though I guess it won't be a true love, aye?) and it tore at my undying Spuffy heart. I wish to grumble that you could have made her a girlfriend but I guess, some angst in the beginning will only make the love come sweeter. Can't wait to read more of your stories!
