More, please. I like the idea of Spike working with a poetry course. In my writing degree, the term with poetry creation was the hardest of them all because I got grief from almost every member of the class for liking rhyme and strict structure, and began to dislike poetry after that and completely stopped writing it (my mind is wired to like strict structure and meter--makes me good with computers). I hope that Spike can find enjoyment of the art form where I cannot. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Hey! This was a great first chapter! I love how Spike has a hobby. The dialog was awesome, and the Dickenson poem was brilliant, tied into the story. I hope to read more of this. Great work!

I like it. For your first Spike fic, you've got the dialog down perfectly. I want to read more!
