I keep going back to this story, only to stop reading again because it's just so ridiculously AU! I could accept Anya finding herself a man to abuse, especially Xander since he in a round-about way is responsible for her loss of power, but Buffy? Come on! After all those years she's been pushing him away to 'keep him safe'?
I agree that Buffy can be a bitch. Personally I'm inclined to cut her some slack, cuz look what she's been through, but that's a personal choice. Flame away I say.
But at the very least the slayer is a good guy gone bad. Give her some motivation for her actions. Maybe Buffy really did come back from the dead 'wrong' and it just took a while to catch on. Or maybe those shadow men really did infuse her with that demonpower and it rotted her soul.
Seriously, don't make them evil just because and you need a convenient scapegoat! Buffy and Anya aren't like those Arch-villians who want to suck the world into hell solely because the brimstone will match their decor nicely. And please give us a little more background on how Xander got so screwed up. Clearly he has issues.
Also feel free to stop inserting pieces of 'Abuse' brochure into the fic. We get the message. Men can be victims to.
I got to admit the absurdity is making this story oddly entertaining.
