i'm not specifically a buffy fan and was only reading this story as part of the archive clean-up team, but instead of just skimming it for the typos and glitches that several software crashes have caused in people's stories, it caught my interest and in started actually READING it! (25 chapters? this one's gonna take me a while!) and i'm having a blast. the part i enjoy most so far is xander's little mental running commentary on everything, especially spike. it's so witty, and you write very well. so--whether i'm a buffy fan or not--this story is really a joy to read! very nice job.

I've never been one for these kinds of stories, but for some reason you got me captivated and fascinated me enough for me to keep on reading.
And before I npticed it, I was living with the story; eeping with anticipation and laughing in a funny spot.
I guess the ultimate reason for that is your way of writing. It's coherent, logical, interesting and captivating. The plot was straightforward with nice twists that kept things interesting. And I loved how much attention you paid to the psychological aspect of things. The way Xander wasn't who he used to be and how he could never be that again, and the way both Xander and Spike both grew into their new relationship.
So, simply put: Wonderful work!

I just discovered this story and loved it.

wonderful story, I can't even begin to describe how much I liked it! There was so much detail and real emotion and feeling and understanding of what Xander must have been thinking and feeling. you give the reader the ability to empathise with Xander, to understand as the other characters didn't, and to hope that they would soon. I just.. wow... one of the best fanfics I've ever read! I'm so pleased you're doing a sequel. I can't find the words for a distinctly detailed and long review.. cuz all I can think is 'wow'

on a side note, the thing on teh number four? I was all excited.. I suffer from OCD and LOVE the number four and.. well, that made my day, seriously.

I don't know if i reviewed this story the last time I read it, but just in case I review it now. I loved this story. The whole thing was a delight to read. So delightful I read it again! :) I really hope you are continueing this arc. I hope to follow it religiously ;) You're a great writer. And I love Spike and Xander fanfiction. That was great. I was glued to my seat while reading and was late for work trying to fit in one more chapter.
