I love that there's an actual backstory happening at the same time as the relationship between Spike and Xander blooms. I also love how simple that is, and like you pointed out, how easily overlooked it can be. That twist was awesome ;)
I also like the dept of emotion you put in there, between and in the characters. Then there was Xander who stepped up - I'm sure it's obvious without mentioning how lovable that was! ;D
I honestly have nothing bad to say. The fic was long, but not boring. Things took their own time, and I think it's very important that there's no unnecessary rushing in a story. So good job! :D

Love this sotry!!!! It was so sweet! I really love Xander/Spike, or Spike/Xander. Whatever. You made thir relationship so tender, so full of love, and friendhip, I really enjoyed reading this. Xander, as always, saving the group. Even if he does not know, the group does not stand because of Buffy, stands because of him making then continue joint.

Definately one of the best Spike/Xander stories I've read so far.

I like it. Loved that bit about Spike and Xander making fun of Angel's hair. So f*cking funny I had to read it outloud to my sis. ^_^
