thanks for reviewing! I'm very relieved that you enjoyed this chapter because it was so difficult to write. Thank you for having faith in this story. Hope you'll enjoy the upcoming chapters.
@white rabbit: as far as I know, the book is difficult to get because it is out of print, but there is a movie as well, "The Favorite" with Maud Adams ("Dru") and Amber O'Shea ("Buffy"). It's not Shakespeare, but ok.
@spikestheman: Buffy isn't feeling guilty about being held against her will, she blames Spike for making her feel torn. That's the way she felt about him on the show all the time. She thinks he's bad, but there is an undeniable attraction between them, and she keeps worrying about what that says about her. She even asks Tara if she "came back wrong". In S6, she calls Spike a soulless monster, but he is the only person in whose presence she doesn't feel lonely, and she's attracted to him in a way that scares her. It's this inability to stay away she feels guilty for. So my Buffy isn't far away from Joss's Buffy. The Buffy that tells Spike she loves him even though he did try to take her against her will. Which my sheik doesn't, BTW.
I'm totally with Renee - there shouldn't be a "bad guy" at all because this will ultimately be a love story. If I wanted to write a feminist manifest, I would ;-) As to your other question, when will you see Spike feel guilty for something? Veeeeery soon...

This is a really fabulous story- can't wait for the next update. Spuffy lovin' is much needed :-) But the plot is wonderful as well :-)

Wow! This story is such a roller coaster in the emotions department. First off, I totally feel bad for Buffy because she doesn't understand the customs of the country that she is now in and it goes against the societal norms that she is used to. Second, I think that if Spike really likes Buffy then he needs to try a much more gentle approach, at least until Buffy gets a handle on how she is supposed to act and how she truly feels about being in a place like that. And lastly, the other girls in the harem need to give Buffy some slack! Seriously! If she hasn't grown up with these customs, they can't expect her to get used to them in such a short amount of time. On other thing, I think that if Spike let Buffy call her mom, it would go a long way to having Buffy act a little more agreeable towards Spike.

Oh Charlie, that was another fabulous chapter... and it is a great story so far.
There are not many stories out there that get me so emotionally hooked. I totally feel her conflict.
I'm really curious how you plan to continue this. Don't let us wait too long for I myself can't wait for more.

This is a really great story. I have never seen a take on S/B like this before. I love it! Update frequently!

Buffy shouldn't be the bad guy in this story. Now, I don't think Spike should be the bad guy, either, but the other girls should not be treating Buffy as if she's done something horrible. I guess they are just brain washed. The man won't even let them masterbate (unless that is a lie like the pubic hair thing.)
