You have such an honesty of emotion here. I love the way you're treating Buffy's thoughts about Riley as if he's a real person, and worth considering. I know, from my own experience, that it's too easy to dismiss him. You've done a good job here of showing how his traits are both good and yet wrong for Buffy. I absolutely loved the line about how Faith is hiding behind Buffy's insecurities to avoid showing her own. That's so insightful, and you worked it in to Buffy's POV so well. Plus, your sex scene in the previous part was hot as hell. God, I'm trying to learn to do that, but every time I turn around, someone's better at it than I am! (Snicker. But I'm not bitter.) I like the shy flirting between Buffy and Faith at the end of this part--despite the fact that they've made love, you're right that they're still at a very vulnerable and unstable point in their relationship. The flirting is a perfect way for them to get more comfortable with each other. And, of course, the inevitable "and then someone walks in on them" moment. Tara was a good choice. You know, I haven't been reading your updates regularly, but every time I do, I'm impressed all over again. Perhaps you use too many ellipses; but, on the other hand, perhaps they're part of your style, and therefore acceptable. I can't decide. Oh well. Lovely writing.

I must say it;s one of the coolest Buffy-actions ever. The way she's choosing to show Faith that she really does love her and wants to fight for her is just beautiful. Keep up the good work.Fuffy rules, especially in circumstances like these: they;re going through some rough times, but they;ll survive and their love will conquer everything. (right?!)

Glad to see this update! This is a great story,I especially love the delicacy of Buffy and Faith's relationship. It's very sweet and romantic,yet seems 100% true to their characters. Update faster,at least way faster than the last time.

Good plotline, very nicely written, love the characterisation of Faith, and the inability of Buffy to face her own inner demon so to speak, can't wait for the next installment.
