This is such an incredibly tension- and conflict-ridden chapter. I never expected events to take such a dramatic and alarming twist. It's even better than I expected. I only hope I have enough time to read the rest before I have to leave this console.
Hello, Rina! I took your suggestion and decided to read this fanfic. I find myself being drawn to Kylar. Evidently, you like androgynous characters who confuse people about their gender. This is just how Connor and Sebastian met, isn't it?
Well, this is an emotionally wrenching chapter but in a good way. While this soul colonic wasn't enough to turn Connor into a decent human being by a long stretch, I can see why this would help someone like Kylar. The story of how he murdered his former master is chilling but it's understandable. Such an environment rather encourages violent behavior; it's amazing that Fred managed to survive as long as she did without hurting another person.
By the way, Connor is a dhampir. It's a creature out of Slavic mythology. A dhampir is the son of a male vampire, capable of seeing vampires, fighting and killing them. Dhampirs were said to have incredible strength so I think the description fits. Angel wouldn't have known about them because he wasn't with the Slavs long enough. Those pesky gypsies...
Your depictions of the Fang Gang are amazingly accurate and dovetail with what I remember from the four seasons I watched. It's so wonderful to watch them getting along so well with each other and shifting to make room for this new addition.
You're really good with new characters, too. I'm so envious! You're a fantastic fanfic writer and I'm certain you'd be a great regular author as well. I'll read and review the next chapter as soon as I can.
