Dear Writer,
I have only just found this story and it is as compelling as it is heartbreaking. Your depictions of the various fractions that make the whole of Spike are brilliant in their execution and believability, and the supreme cluelessness and self absorption that is Angel and his motivations rings completely true.
I found myself frustrated and angry with Angel. His callous actions and 'I'm the hero' mantle driving a deep seated need to scream at him that he is not worthy of Spike, indeed has been the cause of much of Spike's torment - even if only by omission. Yet at the same time Angel simply *must* save him by any means necessary.
A brilliant piece. Thank you *so* much for sharing.
