Ch. 3 Thanks for this fic, DR. It's deeply harrowing and pulls no punches just like the best of your stories. The description of Buffy's eyes was detailed and suitably graphic. You're a very adept and artful storyteller. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters.

I like the idea its intriguing. Angel seems something of an condescending ass though considering his less that stellar demonstrations of intelligence i.e. Darla and Angelus he has a hell of allot of nerve lecturing anyone on selfishness when hes kicked her to the curb in regards to his life.

A powerful beginning. The nature of a slayer's life is such that it's not surprising a permanently crippled slayer would entertain thoughts of suicide. Slayer-suicide stories can be done wrong so easily. Where I think you've set it up well, so far, is that the act isn't rooted entirely in self-pity, though that is certainly a strong point. Buffy has suffered greatly, and her pity isn't discarded. But there's also an element of duty in there as well. Depression is a real problem for her, and presuming she survives the suicide attempt, something her loved ones have to help her deal with.
I also like the way you handled Cordelia's failure to disclose the vision. It didn't appear to be willing or petty, but Cordy being a bit dim and self-involved. Perhaps something of a flashback to the Homecoming episode...
