You're doing a good job. Don't stop now, but don't let yourself get rushed through it to satisfy your
readers. The quality will suffer and they'll get pissed off. It's difficult to write explicit sex scenes
for the first time. What you want is to write the scene so that the reader immediately goes looking for
their 'significant other', instead of sitting back and saying "That's the silliest thing I've ever heard
of." Believe me, I enjoy PWP as much as the next person (both reading it and writing it...sometimes
it's what get's ya through the night) but I always prefer a story surrounding it. Though I know some
people really despise them, I truly like the 'Buffy and Spike have a baby' stories. I don't know why, I
just think they're sweet. AND...I prefer them when the writer thinks up an interesting way of explaining
the so-called 'miracle' pregnancy, as opposed to the "Pregnant? How'd THAT happen? We don't know,
it just did" explanations. Your approach is fresh and within the realm of "Okay, I'll accept that." I've
been working on one where the conceptin takes place after a silent wish is made on a birthday cake. (I
know it sounds silly, but I'm taking the humorous approach. To me, funny is better than angsty.)
Anyway, keep up the good work and I'll be watching for more.
