I think I'll give this story a tentative thumbs up. Tentative because your writing style is brilliant as always and I'm curious as to how they'll turn out but I'm afraid at the same time. When I read the story I felt a bit hurt... as if I'm Buffy. Maybe a female point of view? When the BtVS Buffy hurt Spike I didn't feel the same way. Oh well. I'm definitely curious though. Please continue the story!

I for one would very much like to see this story continued. I've had half a mind to write a similar story myself, but I'm positive that you could do a much better job of it. I agree with you that Spike wasn't being cruel to Buffy, he just wasn't doting on and bending himself backwards for her like he did on the show, and since this Spike isn't in love with her (yet, anyway) there's no reason why he should tip-toe around her emotions. He may be chipped, but, as he likes to point out, he's still evil. He may not reciprocate Buffy's feelings, but at least he isn't turning them against her, or using them to get what he wants, like she did to him. I can't wait to see what kind of ideas you have for this story, and how Buffy will go about getting Spike to fall in love with her.

This is one area Joss should have taken on the show. Do a flip where Spike was the slayer and Buffy was at the other end of Spikes 'bitchyness', Xander's moronic comments and the general outsiderness Spike had to endure. Continue this, I want to see where it goes.
