Ch. 5 Great story--though I could do without all the Angel and Buffy bashing. Why people feel they need to kick these two in the teeth to get Xander and Spike together is beyond me. Besides, Xander conveniently forgets how often both people saved his butt and Spike forgets how Buffy and the others protected him from the Initiative when he went crawling to them for help.

I just read this whole story that you've written thus far in two days.... do you know how hard

Okay, I just sat here and read your entire fic in one sitting (except for about 10 minutes when the pages wouldn't load, grr-argh). It is a wonderfully written fanfiction. The characterizations, while not always necessarily correct, are excellent and the fic in general is extremely well written except for a few minor spelling errors. I even made notes as I was writing so I could be sure to tell you my opinion on a couple parts. First off, I am very happythat Xander was so great to Spike after the rape. I realize that's because it had happened to him but still he was great and understanding as they progressed into their relationship without rushing Spike. Next, I was overjoyed that everyone was so vocally cool with their relationship. It had teh potential for disaster but you pulled it off nicely. One of my favorites parts was when Tara and Willow were over and Spike and Xander kissed in the kitchen after just waking up wearing only sweats. That was so cute and sweet and romantic I just sighed because it was so beyond cute. Saving drusilla's ashes is exactly the sort of thing that I'd expect from Tara and Willow so thank you for including that. I'm not sure I like Giles breaking Spike's confidence and telling Wesley. I can understand it but I don't like it. I definitely didn't like that Angelus knows because I can only guesss what he'd do. All i can say next is YAY they mated Yay!!! Finally, are Buffy and Giles going to hook up? I like this couple (not as much as others but better than buffy and Angel in general). It seems possible and it could be good. In conclusion, excellent fic and I hope I see more soon. Please keep up the great work.

I just want to say that last night I made the wonderful "mistake" of finding this fic fairly late in the evening, and starting to read without realizing how good it was, how long it was, or that it was a WIP. I would have left a review, but as it was 5:30am when I finished reading, I wasn't sure I'd be able to string words together into sentences that would make sense to anyone at all.

This is probably the best Spike/Xander fic I've read (not that I've read all that many -- I'm fairly new to reading Buffy fanfic). It's well written, and keeps a great sense both of character and of plausability. Beyond that, it's got Dru, it's got Ethan (I do so enjoy seeing Ethan create trouble and then get his arse kicked), and it's got at least the hint of a developing B/G situation. (Yay B/G! Most of the Buffyfic I've read is of that pairing) I'm very impressed with this fic, and very eager to read future chapters -- would it be out of line for me to ask how long the usual delay between chapter postings is?

Finally finished all of the chapters. Excellent! Characterization, plot, smut, action... it is all there. Thanks. Is there going to be more?

Thoroughly enjoyed the story. Interesting plotline, good characterization. Chapters are short, but many. Is there going to be more?!

Ch. 24 The moment of Dru's death was very affecting and convincing. I suppose if killing your ex is a sign of love, then Spike proved his.
