Oh poor Wesley, my heart goes out to him.....to love so much that much and be rejected for society's sake and that another man will raise your child......and Poor Buffy, so have found a love so strong it ripes your heart to shreds.

Buffy's stunt reminds me of protocal and the one movie with Sondra Bullock, Miss Congentiality......both movies I adore......

I can't wait to read the next chapter you do leaving us with cliffhangers and angsty parts so well........

So happy you came back with an update. Have to say I would have loved a happier chapter, but then where would the story be.....

Poor Buffy, to be betrayed by her father and her lover so.....Rupert to betray his honor to not do what is best for the crown. Fred's child would be heir, and no longer would the royal blood line be so. For Rupert not to have called Dru on the DNA and using it for his own personal gains means he was a traitor to his duty toward the King, some could and would say was a act of Treason.

I hope you have more soon, cause I want to find out who is trying to kill Spike....

Kimber: as you said yourself, when it comes to Dru, Spike is partial, also in my alternate universe. The way e hie him, he would not doubt he is the child's father if Dru says so because she is his first big love. As for Sir Rupert, of course he could suggest DNA testing, but I totally disagree that he would ever say so BECAUSE HE WANTS SPIKE TO STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HIS DAUGHTER! For Sir Rupert, the scandal is a blessing because it keeps Spike away from Buffy entirely.
And, no, not everyone knows how old Spike is - they never announced in public there was a baby switch, they always claimed Spike had studied abroad and therefore never been present.
About the security in Buckingham Palace, well, I don't know where you live, but have you heard about the guy in the Bin Laden costume getting access to a private party hosted by the Queen for her family last year? He walked past security, and no one even bothered to ask for an invitation. You'd be amazed how far a self-assured behaviour can get you!
As for the "Buffy gets pregnant and he's married to Fred" part: I don't think I'd have 3000 hits for this story if I intended to go for the obvious stereotype.

PJ: Thanks for the hint about the church. I'm not too familiar with the Church of England, however, I did attend an Anglican service or two while I was there (I'm Protestant, but a totally different branch which didn't exist where I was). I found the Church of England rites and mass very similar to Catholic ones, so I just assumed they had confession as well. I guess it shows that no matter how much research you do, there's always room for improvement.
The Tower scene: I agree with you that I should have added "Humil" to the description in the archive, the problem is that in the beginning I intended to write a comedy, and the rest "just happened". I haven't found any way to modify the categories at AFF later, perhaps there is a hidden function I haven't figured out? If so, please let me know. Yet I think reading habits are a good indication for what someone is writing - those of you who read profiles have a fairly good idea of where my limits and taboos are by the "recommended reading" section of my profile.

THANKS FOR REVIEWING, EVERYONE, IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
