There's some good stuff in this fic, but Spike ordering Buffy around seems both out of character and inconsistent with how their relationship was portrayed on the show.

Very hot story--however, I was especially drawn to the line "Over the years Buffy had come to realize it was the excuse that no one ever questioned." It just sticks out and rings so true. Good work!
