I like , no love it so far . I like the way she finds strength from spike. rape is an offal thing and everyone deals with it differently. Rape is not about sex it is about power and dominance. The attacker makes him/herself powerful by forcing someone else to submit. Our society traditionally makes the vm thm the one at fault as if they themselves caused thusthus to be sexual afterwards or in this case trusting in any way seems to become justification that they were at fault. In societies where sex has less taboos attacked to iis iis is often not the case. In this story someone she trusts has violated her trust and her body, someone else whom she also trusts has recued her and asked nothing in return alowing her to make her own decisions and giving Buffy, her power back. When you are raped all you want is to feel safe again and if letting another man in your bed that very moment is the answer then that is what you do. She is not hiding behind him. She is not clinging to him like a weak damsel in distress. She is taking strength from him and becoming whole again. we all should be so lucky.
